Lisa Gangemi

After graduating as a German and English teacher, coming to Germany to live and work seemed the most natural thing for Lisa Gangemi to do. In 2006 Berlin gave her the opportunity to prove that you don't have to be a native speaker to teach English, and thereby use two of her foreign languages in a constructive way. She speaks four languages fluently: Italian, English, German and Spanish.

Since then she hasn't stopped teaching and always enjoys motivating her students. Seeing them progress and take part in her classes is what has convinced her that this is the profession for her. "It's extremely fulfilling to watch people realise potential which they often didn't know they had."
